Scott Phillips has experienced many unique roles over his career, with successful companies in diverse industries including Whirlpool Corporation, Therma-Tru Doors, Burger King Corporation and Comerica Bank. Scott describes himself as a "cross-functional mut" with a career path which includes manufacturing, product development, sales, marketing and financial management. This has left him with a broad perspective of what it takes to be successful in the midst of the 4th Industrial Revolution. For the last 8 years, Scott has been advising, assessing and coaching manufacturers regarding their Industry 4.0 Journey.

Scott is currently the Program Director for the Industry 4.0 Accelerator. In this role, Scott collaborates with the other Experts-in-Residence from the Accelerator to connect Michigan Manufacturers with Industry 4.0 technology companies to address their operational challenges. In this role, Scott works closely with the Centrepolis Accelerator at Lawrence Tech University and Lean Rocket Lab in Jackson to coordinate resources and participation in manufacturing industry events around the state.

Scott holds a Bachelor's degree in Business from Michigan State University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University. When Scott is not working on the i40 Accelerator or thinking about Industry 4.0, he likes to spend time with his family golfing, vacationing or taking care of two new grand twins.
